It is a non-profit entity for high-IQ individuals to exchange ideas. The test is hailed as the world's largest and oldest high-IQ society. The Mensa test is an in-person exam conducted in supervised testing centres. 

There are two types of tests, verbal tests for assessing vocabulary and verbal logic, and non-verbal tests involving pattern recognition.
